Isolate and Hydrolysate — Two Filtration Levels

ISO Gold isn't a single-source protein. It combines whey protein isolate with whey protein hydrolysate, and the difference between them is processing depth.

Whey protein isolate is filtered to roughly 90% protein by weight or above, stripping out most of the lactose and nearly all the fat. Higher protein per gram, and far less of the material that upsets sensitive stomachs.

Whey protein hydrolysate goes a step further. The protein is partially pre-digested using enzymes, breaking the long chains into shorter peptides. Your body has less work to do, so absorption is faster still. It's the fastest-absorbing whey form available, and the most expensive to produce.

Combining them gives you the purity of isolate with the absorption speed of hydrolysate — which is why ISO Gold sits at the premium end rather than competing with standard concentrate blends.

27g Protein, 6g Naturally Occurring BCAAs

27g per serve is at the top end for a whey product, and the 6g of BCAAs that comes with it is naturally occurring — intrinsic to the whey itself, not added as separate free-form aminos to inflate the panel.

That distinction matters, and PVL make a point of it: no amino spiking. Amino spiking is the practice of adding cheap free-form aminos like glycine or taurine so a nitrogen-based protein test reads higher than the actual complete protein content. It's legal, it's common, and it means the number on the label overstates what you're getting. PVL state plainly that ISO Gold contains no hidden or inferior proteins and no amino spiking.

DE111® is a shelf-stable strain of Bacillus subtilis. Most probiotic strains are fragile — they need refrigeration and struggle to survive stomach acid. Bacillus subtilis forms spores, which means it survives manufacturing, sits stable in a tub at room temperature for the life of the product, and reaches the intestine intact.

Why put it in a protein: nutrient absorption happens in the gut. A protein you can't absorb properly is a protein you've partly wasted. Supporting gut microbiome health supports the digestion of everything you're eating, and it also helps with the bloating some people get from protein powder.
