What's Inside the Bar — The Formula

The bar has two components that together deliver the gut support profile:

The jelly centre (75% of the bar) is where the functional ingredients sit: Hydrolysed Bovine Collagen Peptides (25% of the centre), a Prebiotic Blend of Acacia Fibre, Tapioca Fibre, Cassava Syrup and Fibalance™ PHGG, L-Glutamine, Coconut Milk Powder, Ceylon Cinnamon Extract, and FloraSMART™ (Lactobacillus casei 327). The jelly format is what allows the postbiotic to survive manufacturing — FloraSMART™ is heat-killed (postbiotic rather than live probiotic), meaning it's inherently heat-stable and doesn't require refrigeration or live culture preservation.

The dark chocolate coating (25% of the bar) adds Inulin (Chicory) Fibre — itself a prebiotic — along with Palm Kernel Oil, Cocoa Powder (4%), Sunflower Lecithin, and Steviol Glycosides as a natural sweetener. Frequently Asked Questions

Why might I get gas when I start eating it?

The prebiotic fibres — particularly inulin in the chocolate coating — are fermented by gut bacteria in the large intestine. This fermentation produces gas, especially if your gut isn't accustomed to a high-fibre intake. This is a sign the fibres are working and typically settles within a few days to two weeks as your microbiome adapts. Starting with half a bar for the first week can help ease the transition.

Is the protein complete?

Hydrolysed collagen provides all amino acids including all nine essentials, but is naturally low in tryptophan. The L-Glutamine is added separately. For a complete EAA protein source, collagen is best combined with other dietary protein across the day rather than relied on as a sole protein source — though 13g from a gut-support snack bar is a meaningful protein contribution.

Can I use it alongside the GOODGUT™ Powder?

Yes — they use the same FloraSMART™ postbiotic but in different formats.
