Why 700ml Rather Than 600

Most shakers are 600ml, and most of them are slightly too small.

A standard protein serve wants 250–300ml, which fits anywhere. The problem is everything else. High-dose pre-workouts want 300–400ml. Intra-workout amino drinks get sipped over an hour and want volume. And critically, any powder mixes better with headroom above the liquid, because the powder needs room to move.

Fill a 600ml shaker to 500ml and there's nowhere for anything to disperse. At 700ml a full shake still has air above it, which is the difference between a smooth mix and a lumpy one.

Getting a Lump-Free Mix

Powder in first, then the liquid. Doing it the other way round packs powder against the bottom where the water can't reach it.

Give it a proper ten-second shake rather than a couple of flicks, and don't fill it to the brim. The air gap is what lets the powder move.

This matters most with creatine and high-dose citrulline products, which clump by nature because both are hygroscopic and pull moisture from the air.

Keeping It From Smelling

Worth saying plainly, because it's the reason most shakers get thrown out.

Shakers smell because protein residue dries in places you can't reach and stays damp in a sealed bottle. Rinse it immediately after use, not when you get home. Dried protein is significantly harder to shift than wet protein.

Then leave the lid off to dry. Trapped moisture in a closed bottle is what causes odour, not the protein itself.

Directions for Use

Add your liquid first if you prefer, or powder first for better mixing. Secure the lid tightly and shake well until mixed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it dishwasher safe?

Check the base of the bottle for the manufacturer's guidance. Top rack is safer for any shaker, and hand washing extends the life of the seal.

Does it come with a mixing ball?

Check the product listing for what's included.

Will it leak in my bag?

It has a secure screw-top lid. Make sure it's fully tightened and seated — most shaker leaks come from a lid that's closed but cross-threaded.

Is 700ml too big for a protein shake?

You won't fill it, and that's the point. The extra headroom is what makes powder mix properly, and the same bottle then handles pre-workout, aminos and water.
